Our client is a leading provider of wireless communication solutions and smart metering products. They specialize in the design and manufacture of high-performance utility management hardware, including water, gas, and electricity meters, alongside advanced IoT modules.
The Role
As a Product Manager, you will be the bridge between customer needs, market trends, and our engineering prowess. You will own the life-cycle of our smart metering portfolio-from identifying the next breakthrough in LPWAN connectivity (NB-IoT, LoRaWAN, Sigfox) to ensuring our hardware meets the rigorous regulatory standards of global utility markets.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Road map: Define and execute the vision for the companies smart metering product line. Identify market opportunities and translate them into a prioritised product road map.
Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of the curve on utility regulations, smart city initiatives, and emerging wireless technologies. Conduct competitive analysis to ensure they remain a market leader.
Cross-functional Leadership: Work closely with R&D, Hardware Engineering, and Software teams to move products from concept to Mass Production (MP).
Life cycle Management: Manage the entire product journey, including pricing strategy, certification processes (MID, DLMS/COSEM, CE, etc.), and end-of-life planning.
Customer Advocacy: Act as the "voice of the customer" within the company. Gather feedback from global utility providers and system interrogators to refine product features.
Requirements
Experience: 3+ years in Product Management, specifically within Smart Metering, IoT, or Industrial Hardware.
Technical Literacy: Solid understanding of wireless communication protocols (LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, M-Bus, or Zigbee) and utility industry standards.
Analytical Mindset: Ability to turn complex data into actionable product requirements (PRDs) and user stories.
Communication: Exceptional ability to explain technical "hows" to stakeholders and the value-driven "whys" to customers.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (MBA is a plus).
