Job Opportunity: UPS Applications Engineer - Hampshire/South UK

Are you a technical expert in Critical Power with a talent for turning complex engineering requirements into winning commercial proposals? We are seeking a detail-oriented UPS Applications Engineer to join our team and drive the growth of our power protection solutions.

In this role, you will be the bridge between technical design and commercial execution, specializing in Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, generators, and associated electrical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Estimating: Prepare detailed and accurate quotes and estimates for UPS and generator projects, as well as ongoing maintenance contracts.

  • Tender Management: Review and interpret consultant specification tender documents to develop comprehensive technical proposals.

  • Engineering Collaboration: Translate engineer maintenance reports into actionable commercial quotes for clients.

  • Solution Design: Provide technical guidance on various manufacturers of UPS systems and electrical installations.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a technical point of contact for office staff and clients during the enquiry and quotation phase.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Electrical Expertise: Proven experience in domestic, industrial, or commercial electrical installations as a fully approved electrician.

  • Specialized Knowledge: Deep understanding of UPS installation, service, and commissioning across various manufacturers.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Fully conversant with BS7671 (18th Edition preferred) and electrical design principles.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability in the "Application of Number" and Information Technology to manage complex pricing models.

  • Safety & Compliance: Valid CSCS or ECS Health & Safety certification is essential.

  • Adaptability: A hardworking professional who excels both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
