Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME M2) – Embraer E190 Line Maintenance (YYZ)
Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME M2) required to work for a leading aviation maintenance and operations company.
This is an excellent opportunity based at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) to join an established commercial aviation / airline maintenance organisation, whilst being rewarded with a competitive package and shift-based line maintenance exposure in a dynamic airport environment.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work as an AME M2 – Embraer E190 Line Maintenance, performing various tasks including:
- Conducting daily inspections, transit checks, and service checks on Embraer E190 aircraft during scheduled and unscheduled line operations
- Troubleshooting and rectifying defects across airframe, powerplant, avionics, and electrical systems
- Accomplishing MEL procedures including deferrals, placarding, and accurate technical logbook entries in compliance with Transport Canada CARs
- Performing component and LRU replacements such as wheels, brakes, filters, sensors, and other line‑replaceable parts
- Using approved technical data including AMM, FIM, SRM, IPC, and digital maintenance systems to perform and certify work
- Coordinating with flight crews, dispatch, Maintenance Control Centre (MCC), and operations teams to support on‑time departures
- Supporting AOG recoveries, ramp troubleshooting, and irregular operations as required
- Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with the company Safety Management System (SMS), human‑factors practices, and YYZ airside safety requirements
- Maintaining accurate and timely technical records and releasing aircraft under applicable AME licence privileges
Mandatory Requirements
- Valid Transport Canada AME Licence – M2
- Experience performing line maintenance on transport category aircraft
- Embraer E‑Jet experience (E170/E175/E190/E195) or equivalent E190 type exposure
- Strong troubleshooting ability in a high‑pressure operational environment
- Familiarity with digital maintenance systems (e.g. AMOS, TRAX, or similar)
- Eligibility for RAIC and ability to meet YYZ airside driver permit requirements
- Willingness and ability to work shift patterns including nights, weekends, and holidays
Desirable Requirements
- E190 type training
- Previous experience operating in a high‑tempo hub environment
- Strong communication skills with flight crews and operational teams
- Proven ability to work independently on the line with minimal supervision
