Senior Electrical Engineer – Motors & Generators required to work for a leading Cleveland-based electromechanical and power management company.

This is an excellent opportunity based in Cleveland, Ohio to join an established electromechanical services organisation, whilst being rewarded with a competitive package and bonus.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work as a Senior Electrical Engineer performing various tasks including diagnosing and resolving failures in electric motors and generators, conducting root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and supporting FMEA-driven improvements, reverse engineering stator windings, coils and insulation systems, supporting motor repair, rewind and coil manufacturing operations, developing repair processes and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with IEEE, NEMA and IEC standards, collaborating with customers and internal teams, and driving continuous improvement across reliability and performance.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with electric motors, generators or rotating equipment
  • Hands-on experience in motor repair, maintenance, diagnostics or design
  • Strong knowledge of stator windings, coils and insulation systems
  • Experience with RCFA, FMEA or failure analysis
  • Ability to troubleshoot using electrical test equipment

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience with motor rewind or coil manufacturing
  • Background in traction motors or heavy industrial equipment
  • Experience within electromechanical services or OEM environments
