Job Title: Head of Resource Planning (Maintenance)

Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Resource Planning (Maintenance) to lead and manage all resource planning functions supporting aircraft maintenance activities. This role ensures that manpower, tooling, and maintenance capacity are aligned with operational and regulatory requirements, supporting both line and base maintenance environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end maintenance resource planning strategy across multiple stations and heavy maintenance facilities.
Develop and maintain long-term and short-term maintenance workforce forecasts based on fleet plans, scheduled checks, and regulatory inputs.
Oversee capacity planning to ensure availability of manpower, hangar space, tools, and materials for planned maintenance activities.
Collaborate with Engineering, MCC, Base/Line Maintenance, and Training teams to align resources with maintenance demand and fleet schedules.
Manage a team of planners and analysts responsible for workforce modeling, shift planning, and workload allocation.
Ensure compliance with aviation regulations (EASA/GCAA/FAA) and internal safety standards in all planning processes.
Implement planning tools and systems to increase forecasting accuracy and operational visibility.
Support budgeting processes by providing data on manpower utilization, overtime trends, and forecasted requirements.
Participate in strategic decision-making around outsourcing, insourcing, and upskilling programs for engineering teams.
Lead performance reviews, develop KPIs, and drive continuous improvement in planning efficiency and cost control.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Minimum of 10 years of experience in aviation maintenance planning, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role.
Strong understanding of EASA/GCAA/FAA Part 145/Part M/Part CAMO regulations.
Proven experience managing manpower and maintenance capacity across line and base operations.
Proficient in using maintenance planning systems (e.g., AMOS, TRAX, OASES, or similar).
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets to drive planning strategies.
